And the winner of the Blanket for Hope Giveaway is......
Congratulations to Sarah on winning this beautiful blanket. I'll be contacting you by e-mail.
I have some cool news on "Blankets for Hope." First, take a look at these really cute labels for them. I chose the sheep because as we know Jesus never leaves one of His sheep, especially these precious babies.
The other cool news is that one of my very new blogger friends is doing this amazing ministry with sick babies and children. Her name is Misty Rice and she is a volunteer photographer for terminally ill children in Fort Lauderdale. Please pray for her to have strength and wisdom and joy all over her as she works with these families. I am going to be sending her some Blankets for Hope to give out to the children. Giving is super fun!
Because I am having so much fun giving, I have a very cool giveaway for June. In celebration of summer and school almost being out, I am giving away this lovely Brighton necklace.
When you leave a comment between today and June 15th, you will be entered to win. The more comments you leave, the more times your name is entered. Can you tell that I really like hearing what you have to say?
Speaking of giving, I need to thank Becky at Farmgirl Paints for giving me the "Lovely Blog Award." If you have a chance, visit her blog. She is one of those people who is so kind that you like her immediately. She does these really inspiring photographic tours of homes with unique decorating ideas.
I have the honor of passing on this award to some of the bloggers who I enjoy. So the blogs upon which I bestow the "Lovely Blog Award" are-
2) Our Sons
6) Gitzen Girl
Here are the rules:
1) If you want to accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link.
2) Pass the award onto 10 other bloggers that you have newly discovered. Remember to leave a comment, letting them know that they have received the award.
I also have to mention that if you need any blog design tips, please visit the Sneaky Mama Blog Design site. Just click on her button. I have placed it on the bottom left side of my blog. She is a giver of many fabulous tips. It is with her help that I finally was able to create my own button. See it on the side there. Hooray!
Here's to giving!

thanks SO MUCH for the mention and the nice comment on my blog.
i have to tell you, the photo in your header made me laugh so loud that the pup laying on my lap started barking!!!
Thank you! Thank you! Sweet new bloggy friend. As I mentioned in my email, I am beyond excited and thrilled that you are giving and letting me be a part of this beautiful gift. I can NOT wait to receive the blankets in the mail, and when I give a child a blanket, I will also ask if the parents will give me permission to email you personally a photo of the child wrapped in each blanket, so you can see for yourself the little lives that you and your mother are warmer up together with these gifts of love and HOPE.
Thank you also for the blog award. I am not the greatest at receiving the awards and following the rules. However, I will make mention of these blankets, you and your blog on my blog this week.... just to show you how much I appreciate them.
Keep up the love, hope and giving.
God Bless.
Thanks for the email and also for the lovely blob award! I truly enjoy documenting through a blob and sharing my thoughts and of course pictures. Have a great day tomorrow and look forward to more stories to read
Thank you for passing that on to me! How fun!
And please enter me for the necklace.
Let me make sure I understand the rules. Anytime we comment on your blog we get a new entry? Or ONLY for this blog post?
Wow thats a wonderful thing you do with blankets! Thanks for the award! I dont know when I will have time to do this though, it could be awhile because I'm super busy for the next three weeks. But soon I will.
Thank you, for the lovely blog award. You are so sweet. I enjoy reading your blog as well.
Thank you Brigetta!!! I passed on the love, and gave YOU, my dear, a lovely blog award from me! OH the excitement :) Really, I love reading your blog too :) And thanks for making me cry at work with your "Michelle's story"! Really, thank you for posting it. I needed to be reminded of my role as step mom to four wonderful children who lost their mother to cancer. I know I will never replace their mom, but I feel in a way that she passed the baton to me and now I am carrying on where she left off. I do not take it lightly.
