Be Still!

I have a confession to make.

I have become a home rental website stalker. I am obsessed with making sure that we are not missing out on finding something up in Montana that will best suit our family. I have this urgent feeling that there is something better than the two options I presented the other day, but it is like a needle in the hay stack and I just can't get my finger on it.

I look on Craigslist and the local paper website and the vacation rentals and every other website I can find.

It is getting ridiculous and time consuming and I have this idea that I can't pack until I know what the place I am going to actually looks like. Sounds logical, right? But I just realized it is not really factual. I can pack and label and sort later, depending upon what we choose.

I can relax and trust and stop the time consuming stalking.

I can be still in my emotions and brain and spirit and know that He is God.

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.

the best thing about renting is that you can always move if it doesn't work out right?!
I can't wait to see where you end up.

Sounds like you best stop thinking and start believing! :-) Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming.

I would be the exact same way. You should have seen how much I researched when it came to buying a puppy. I was obsessed. A big move like this warrants some investigation. Have you asked realtors in the area? Some of them know stuff that may not be listed. Worth a try.

I pondered writing a post on being "still" and listening. Now I won't.

My impressions regarding this subject (not the house, just being still) is simple. Did you know that if you mix the letters up in LISTEN you can get SILENT?

Sometimes we do have to be silent to hear; no noise, no distraction, no books (unless it is the scriptures) or internet.

And listen.

Uncertainty would drive me nuts and I'd be doing the exact same thing as you!

Why is it so hard for us as humans to not be in control and let the creator of the universe take care of it?? I struggle right there with you!!

That is my very favorite scripture.

When we were looking for a new place to rent I had a list of about 5 things that I wanted. I kept praying that one would pop up and you know, it did. It had 4 of the 5 things I asked for.

He will find it for you!
