you know the one where the Fed/Ex man and yes he was cute foursons met me in town...

My brand spankin new Canon 50D.

I think I am in love!

That is, if you can be in love with an inanimate object.

I actually read through the entire owner's manual.

Yes, I am crazy like that.

Plus, if I am going to own a camera like this, 

I had better get to know how to push its buttons.

Can I tell you how much fun I am having with this baby?

Oh, why don't I just show you instead. 

The first thing I did was walk outside and take a picture of this rock.

And then my Bogs.

For you non winter dwellers- these are super comfy, warm , completely waterproof boots.

Then I wanted to play with the shutter speed.

Mister Luke agreed to be my assistant... 

and shake his hair like a crazy kid.

Shutter speed not quite fast enough- a little blurry!

A small adjustment and ...

some more detail. 

He then decided I should see if it worked taking pictures of him doing 360s.

We won't tell him

that they look a little 

like

pirouettes.

Then next day I went exploring 

and found

all kinds of cool things

to take pictures of.

I just love old gas stations

and old trucks

and trains.

I also love this little guy...

but you already knew that!

This one has to be one of my favorites

because had I tried, there is no way I could have gotten Jackie Boy and the goose ahead of him to get their feet in sync.

So there you go- that is how much I am having with my new toy!
