My Baby is One Today!

Photobucket

I just can't believe that Little Bear is
One Year Old!

Many of you have been following along since the day he was born.
This last year was so full of changes.
When I first found out I was pregnant, I wondered at the Lord's timing because of our financial situation at the time and because we had just put our house on the market the week prior.

Although we had been briefly "trying" for one more, I remember Hottie Husband's face turning sheet white when I announced the news.

But, this little guy came at the perfect time in the perfect package.
He is gentle and sweet and joyful and
as I know I have said many times
just lights up our home.

He has been my little companion in these months in this new town where I had no family or friends at the start.

He has broken the ice with his smile and sweet brown eyes more times than I can even remember.

He has grown his brother's hearts in ways you can't even imagine.
He has his daddy in the palm of his hand.
He is most assuredly the baby of the family.

When we were in California, we celebrated his first birthday with family and let him have his cake a little early.
My kids never have any sugar until their first birthday and then I let them have their very own little cake and go at it.

It is always so much fun to see what they do!
That is how I got my header picture of Toots.

So here is very "family" video of Little Bear having his cake and eating it too!

Upload failed. Will try again in a little bit.

I have so much to show and tell you about our trip to California and Hawaii.
But, I have about 1000 pictures to sort through.

Seriously?
Yes, seriously!

Brigetta,
I remember saying to God, "I want a baby, but not in August, anytime but August, Lord, you know how hot it is in August here, and besides my birthday's in August--so, Lord, please give a baby, just not in August." And the Lord almost audibly said in a voice that meant business, "Do you want a baby?" And I said, "Yes."
God brought our sweet Kelsey into this world August 14, exactly 8 days after my dad passed away, and she was everything we (my mom and I) needed during those first days and months of grief. God knows best. Your little guy looks so sweet--blessings on you all.
