I am a lover of flowers.
A gardener of sorts.
Landscaper of our half acre lot in California.
We are in the snow and I haven't planted a thing in over a year.
I miss my year round blooming iceberg roses and my gardenias that bloomed faithfully and fruitfully without any extra care.
I miss my blue hydrangeas and foxgloves and delphinium.
Oh, and my Barbra Streisand roses and Crepe Myrtle tree.
I WILL figure out how to plant in this climate this Spring.
For now, I am creating a patch of SPRING right in the middle of our table.
I paid nine dollars for the same flowers it used to cost me four at Trader Joe's.
But, they are making me so happy.
Blooming a little bit of bright and living cheer at the center of our home.
I even brought out my sunflower placemats from Pottery Barn.
I think I'll use them nightly from now through summer.
What do you love to see in your home?

I'm ready for spring also. I love to spend time out in my garden and one of my favorite things I did with becky this week was have her tour my garden. You can't see the flowers yet as they're still under ground but I told her what everything would look like.
Gosh, what I wouldn't give for some fresh flowers. I always almost buy them, but think "Where would I put them?" and then remind myself all the other more practical things I should buy! These are beautiful and inspiring. :)
Patches of green spring grass, all that sunshine and the fresh smell of the air... *sigh*
I really can't wait until spring!
Great pictures! I see remanents of winter that's for sure. i'm slowly changing the decor to match the new approaching season.
LOVE the way you arranged the fruit WITH the flowers...gorgeous. And I"m going to copy you.
I'm so ready for Spring! I haven't done much gardening but I'm looking forward to giving it a try. Hopefully soon!

Oh... so, so pretty!! Makes me excited to be able to get into the garden. It will be a little while though. Still snow coming! :) I have always loved hydrangeas... but I have yet to plant some. Maybe this year!
I love flowers and love springtime. I can't wait to plant fun things in my yard again this year.
