Weigh Down Wednesday

Time to check in with all of you who are joining me on this journey. I love that you are here. I love that you are telling me how you are doing- whether it is being brave enough to get on the scale, choosing to go for a walk, skipping that dessert, having a dessert, sharing how much you have lost or gained- I just love that you are trying along beside me. It truly motivates and helps me.

The results this week- DOWN two more pounds. That is a total of five. Happy, Happy Day!

My workouts this week-

1) Walking on the treadmill at 4.0 for thirty minutes. To pass the time quickly and get some things done at the same time, I make phone calls on the treadmill. I do start the conversation by saying, "This is not a prank phone call, excuse the heavy breathing, I am on the treadmill."

2) Using 15 pound weights. This is the lowest weight that my husband has so it is what I use. I do arm curls for my biceps, another exercise for my triceps and arm lifts for my shoulders with these weights. I do three sets of 15 for each exercise, resting for one minute between each set.

3) Sit ups. This week I did two sets of 50 crunches with each work out.

Some food things that help me. I have been eating one packet of instant oatmeal for breakfast. It fills me up, is good for me, and I just read that it is supposed to help with my milk supply.

When I get hungry, I have been eating a small handful of nuts and a piece of fruit.

The third thing that is really helping is that I am trying not to eat anything after dinner.
The problem is that nursing makes me ravenous. But, I have noticed that if I control myself and don't eat at night, the scale is a lot friendlier to me the next morning.

So Nancy, Lena, Mercy, sweet3mich, Gina, Farmgirl Paints- What's the low down on your weigh down?

Feel free to join in anytime.

wow! good for you. sounds like you've come up with a great plan. wish i could stop the nightime munching! that would be a huge help. maybe someone has a good snack idea, so i don't have to give it up all together!

I AM SOOOOO PROUD OF YOU!!!! What a good example. I bet you are starting to feel a bit better too?!? My sis-in-law just posted something about how her hubby goes off to work and is busy doing his job, sweating off the calories...but as home mommy's we have the temptation in the next room always there! And is it possible to eat the potato chips and other snacks NOT in front of us! Hmmmmm?????

You are doing so good...consistently losing! I weighed this morning and I have lost a total of 5 pounds since I started. But that was around Easter time, so don't get too excited for me. I am like a giant roller coaster...up and then down:)

I running alot which seems to be helping with the lack of discipline in the diet area. I am also not eating after dinner. I really think this is important.

Again I am so proud of you. You will overcome. I just know it:)
