Lofty Goals

My whole goal in life today is to have clean socks for my children tomorrow morning when they are getting ready for school.

So I don't have...

a boy going through MY sock drawer looking for clean socks

a boy saying- MOMMMM- I don't have any socks.

a boy looking through the dirty clothes for socks

a boy looking in the unfolded laundry in the dryer for socks

me saying- I just bought like SIX new pairs of socks for all of you- how can we possibly already be out of socks? Don't you have any old ones?

NO MOM! THERE ARE NONE IN THE DRAWERS!!

Ughhhh! The stinkin socks! They lose their buddies, they disappear, they hide, they get walked on outside without shoes, collect parts of leaves and pine needles and dirt and get holes, they are

ruining my life!

Okay! Enough!

I'm doing the laundry in recovery mode with birthday toys scattered all over my house.

My children WILL have clean socks!

Just in case you are wondering...

sometime I will actually continue the story and

sometime I will actually start thinking about packing!

But not until we have clean socks.

Ha...loved tody's post. My 2-year old had to wear SANDALS to go get sissy from pre-K b/c he has NO SOCKS!!! (Did I mention it's a balmy 45 degrees here in the midwest?!!!)

And how did I get the #1 commenter spot twice? LOL

Clean socks are a very good thing! lol And socks do seem to disappear faster than an icecream cone in July. UG!! {grin} Cute post!

i buy so many socks because it's easier then finding the lost one or cleaning them.

Socks are the bane of my existence.

Right there with you, except we can't find any long pants around here that fit! Wasn't it just 105 degrees a couple days ago? This cold weather came fast, and I'm unprepared. Been too busy to shop during the day, ordered a few things that, of course, didn't fit...

Last time I was at WalMart (a store I ABHOR)I bought 20 socks each for my sons. And 20 underwear. No joke.

LOL I can relate to this one. My son likes to think he owns all of the socks. Everytime when laundry is done he will take every pair and then try to tell me they are all his. I must not own any socks. Or at least he must think so.
