Do you remember when I got to soak some family in about a month ago?
Well, I finally have some pictures to show you of that fun visit from my sistah and her chillins.
The reason this post is nearly a month late is that if there is anyone in the world who takes more pictures than I do, it is my sister.
The funny thing is that you can still always hear our mom saying,
"Girls, did you see this? Take a picture!"
This training could be the reason for the massive amounts of photos on my computer
and my sister's.
So if our computers crash, we'll blame you mom!
Anyway, I was a bit daunted by the idea of going through them, choosing, and resizing. But, lucky you, I finally got my act together.
So, without further ado, I present to you my beautiful sister, niece and my twin nephews who do not look alike at all.
Here they are arriving at the airport, very prepared for the snowy week they would share with us in shorts as you can see.
They were so excited about the snow.
By the way, we had more snow the week they were here than we have had this entire winter. Our deck has been snowless since they left.
El Nino has given California all of our weather.
They went to work, building the perfect sledding track.
It turned out to be amazing.
We geared up and headed up to the mountain
for some skiing and boarding
and falling
and for some very cool sister action
on her snowboard.
While she was here, she rekindled her love with the snowboard. She and her husband were one of the first people to have snowboards when they first came out and I remember them both being very good.
I remember because I was a spoiled little sister and got to go on all cool and fun vacations with my big sis and her boyfriend who later became her husband.
Look how good she is doing!
This guy below wanted to learn, so she shed her skis and put the snowboard back on so she could teach him.
There is no way that he was a natural and passed her by within the first twenty minutes and then ditched her on the bunny hill.
He is just too cute to have done something like that to his mother.
See how nice he is being to Destructo Dog.
But, Destructo Dog's heart belongs to this sweet girl, who is an animal lover and dog rescuer extraordinaire.
Other silliness ensued, including
Pepsi snow cone making from fresh powder,
New Year's celebration with these festive pancakes prepared by my sis,
these goofy cousins
shopping and trying on wacky gear.
We enjoyed many meals together
and headed to town for some fun.
But, they finally had to head back to sunny Southern California so my sister could brag about wearing flip-flops (That is, before all the rain and flooding hit).
But, I made one last ditch effort to keep them here by getting them to the airport late. It backfired on me though. I just ended up having to ship their luggage to them. FYI- If you ever need to ship luggage, UPS is very reasonable.
It was a great trip and we loved soaking them in.
We are just hoping they'll come back and do it again next year!

Awwwe! It was so much fun... but I think all that snow that fell while they were there happened to come to California and MELT on our street!!! Creating the most destructive muddy river!!!
