An Empty Vessel

I had the time to attend chapel at Toot's school today and while we were singing worship songs, something came to my mind- an empty vessel.

I knew exactly why a picture of an empty vessel came to mind. You see, life in all its' inherent busyness can start to fill places in us that it isn't meant to. While the world tells us we need to be filled all the time, I think sometimes God longs for us to be empty vessels so He can be the one to fill us.

Today I just wanted to be like an empty glass that He could fill with His living water.

And I wanted to let go of all the other stuff that often gets cluttered in its place.

Great post Brigetta. To be filled by Him and Him only...awesome.

Yes, empty of self, busyness, things, even people. I've been thinking on this too. I cram so much in my life that He gets squeezed.

Amen Sista! How did you know that is exactly what I needed to hear at this very moment? Thank you for speaking your heart because you have touched mine.

I think we all need to be reminded of this, it's easy to let life get in the way and intrude on our " Be still and know that I am God " moments. Lxx
