Rain and Rainbows

In retrospect, the last few weeks have been a little rough.
We have taken two of the boys to the ER,
a friend of Jackie Boy's broke his wrist on a bike at our house, and
there were some baseball politics and poor judgment by Board Members that resulted in a not so fun situation.
They later admitted they were wrong.

There has been almost endless rain,
a fireman who is a friend was laid off the department
and a few days ago Little Bear got into a bottle of vitamins.
He didn't ingest any.
But I was sick to my stomach all day long, worrying he could possibly have iron poisoning.
We also found out a loved one has cancer.

It has felt like a deluge of trouble.
I finally realized that I feel like we are under some kind of attack.
Do you ever feel like that?

But with rain, you get rainbows.
And this beauty was right outside my window the other day
looking close enough to touch.

Praying for restoration and healing for our friends and family...
and peaceful, warm weeks ahead.

I just wanted to send prayers, thoughts and blessings your way. During times like this, I remind myself that whatever we are given we can handle, and that it will make us stronger in the end.

My grandma used to say "All sun and no rain makes a desert" That being said sometimes the flashflooding can be pretty overwhelming. Sending prayers your way for your family that all this rain passes quickly and leaves behind nature's beauty.

Hang in there girl. When you climb out of this valley the peak will be that much sweeter.

Praying for you and your family. It's times like this that make it difficult to be so far away... I am praying for the closeness in spite of the miles. Hang in there!
