Getting Into the Groove

I just wanted to let you know that I am not having any trouble getting back into the groove of school. I wake up spry and ready to go every morning. A healthy breakfast of eggs, fruit and toast is ready before they wake up and then I get the lunches packed quickly and efficiently. They also have clean socks to wear and folded in their drawers. They never have to ask where they are.

We get out the door on time and are cheerful and singing on the way to school. I also did not forget that it was picture day yesterday and my son did not call me from school saying that he needed his envelope. I also did not forget that it was share day for Toots. He took his letter A item to school in his backpack and did not need it delivered to him on the Kindergarten playground. I told you it is all going very smoothly.  The holiday on Monday didn't throw me in the least. I would have never spent all of a Tuesday thinking it was Monday. After all, Monday had been spent with seven boys at the bowling alley.

This mind of mine is like a steel trap I tell you.

So I certainly didn't forget to bring my son's helmet to him for football practice. That would mean I would have to spend a half and hour driving home and back after already doing pick-up. And that would just be a silly waste of time. So, of course I remembered to bring it to him with all of his other equipment when I picked him up from school.

Well, I just wanted to boast about how well I am adjusting and all.

How is it going for you?

I have NOT left Grace's backpack at school two times in the past week and then in the morning when I pack her lunch wonder WHERE it is. I just wouldn't do that. Na ah. No way.
