Sometimes

you just have to go out and find

your very own patch of land. 

You need to sit 

and feel the dirt in your hands

you have to get real close

so you can taste it 

Your brother might suggest

that showering in it is fun, 

but you know

that the real joy

is in climbing that mountain

looking over the land
