Winter Has Arrived

Yesterday in the middle of the day, it started to snow.
And it stuck.
Winter has arrived and I do believe
it is lovely.

The town is decorated for winter.
I don't know if it is the snow or our adorable winter town,
but I am so excited for Christmas this year.
I can't wait to get out my decorations.

The lake has transformed once again and it is hard to believe it will soon freeze.
It seems we were just out there wake-boarding.

It did take me by surprise though.
The boys didn't even have any snow boots that fit them.
I had to do a quick run to Target after I dropped them at school and buy some.
Then I had to deliver them to the school.

Little Bear has his own snow pants, gloves and gear this year.
We had a great time today playing.

Toots is still home sick (third day), but felt good enough to go out and play in it.

Even Destructo Dog had to get out and taste it.

Maybe it's because it is still so new to us, but we can't help but get excited about the snow.

Our snow started here around 6pm last night.
By 8:30 we had quite a bit...my 9 year old was soooo excited that he went outside & got some to show me, then he made a snowball & threw it at his big brother(age 17).
The 9 year old snowboards, as do most of my kids...they must be thinking about that when they see the snow. My husband thinks "money", he does snow plowing in the winter.
Take care & enjoy the snow.
Is Big Mountain open?

I'm so jealous! The snow is gorgeous and I love how the lake looks- like smokey glass.

Great pictures, especially the lake one! I'm so not ready for the cold and the snow, but I am ready to decorate for Christmas. It's our favorite holiday!

Photos really speak volumes about the experiences. I absolutely love the photos! Enjoy every minute of everyday that you can.

I haven't experienced the snow like you are. Growing up we went to see the snow (we lived in AZ) and we actually went wearing sandals! Ha! Ah, memories!
