Rounding a Curve

I still have more pictures and stories from Spring Break and because this blog serves not only as a blog, but my scrapbook and journal, I will be posting more about it.

But, I just have to tell you about something that I realized today.

I think I am rounding a curve. A curve of life. A curve I had been waiting for and then wondering about. Five months we have lived here and for five months I have wondered if I would have the type of families to relate to like we did back in California. I wondered if I would have friends.

I know you are thinking... silly B..... of course you will have friends. But, I am funny about friends. I learned at a young age to pick them wisely. I am careful where time is invested outside of my family.

So for months I have been living in a boy drenched home, driving a straight line through this town, saying hellos here and there, but thirsty for a friend.

Suddenly, they are everywhere.
Women I adore.
I have rounded a curve.

I know just what you mean! That whole friend thing is so important, and when you leave the ones that have been so dear for so long . . .

I got pretty impatient waiting for new ones! It's sort of like dating. :) (Is she the one?)
