Inversion

Before we moved to Montana,
I'd never heard of an inversion.
I didn't ever think about clouds floating below you, other than on an airplane.

Here, we can ride the ski lift and travel above the clouds to the blue sky.
We see mountain peaks in the distance like islands in a cloudy ocean.
This was the view from our back deck a few days ago and
I couldn't help that think, sometimes we need our own inversion.

The covering of the earth to reveal the firmament.
The blindness to self, to reveal His glory.

Creation has its own voice.
Its beauty speaks to us if we will listen.

That is AH-MAZING. I've never seen or heard of anything like it.

When I was in middle school, the school I attended was located on the top of a hill. Every once in a while, the fog would settle below the hill, and the school would sit on top of it. When we looked down, all we saw was the fog below us. It was so cool.

I can't believe that's your view. How could you ever get tired of that?! Thanks for sharing just a little slice of God's majesty with me.

Awe inspiring. My freshman year in college found me living on the 8th floor of a "high rise" dorm overlooking the ocean. (I know. Life was real tough :) Once in a great while we would have inversion (although you just taught me that word) over the water. You'd stand on the cliffs and see clouds below you, stretching out for miles, set on fire by a blazing sunset. Unforgettable.
